I’m a big fan of versatility and a jacket that I can wear day to night and to look completely different from the beginning of the day to the end is a jacket I can get on board with. For my lunch time stroll by the beach I wore the biker with my denim skirt, cropped tee and studded boots with the sleeves bunched up at the elbows. I transitioned this rock/ grunge look into dinner by changing into a jersey flared jumpsuit, belted it, threw on boot heels and made it hella dope by adding a dragon choker. I wore the jacket as a cape because that’s just what bloggers do. You should try it some time.
Both of these looks came from Pretty Little Thing a website which I am obsessing over right now because of how many styles they have available that are on point and affordable. So check them out for your next wardrobe haul.
The first day of fashion week is always the most fun! I loved sharing the experience with my boohoo family getting to wear this incredible statement top.
I’m really digging tops and pants lately I think the trend is moving that way… androgynes yet feminine. The flares with the puffy sleeve really stand out and to be very honest I was soo comfy! Something you don’t usually get the pleasure of while you’re at fashion week!
I got to go to a few amazing shows where chiffon, white, hot pink and orange are looking like the hot colours for this upcoming Spring/ Summer… something to keep in mind when I’m packing for Europe!!
One sunny day this week snuck in between the rainy ones and we got a gloriously hot & beautiful day. On this day I layered my favourite silk shirt from Grana over my new bustier from Naran as well as gorgeous grey leather mini skirt from Kookai. I love mixing plains with details such as lace and this gorgeous metal detailing on my new metal bag from St Xavier, it’s more subtle than clashing prints but still makes a statement.
One of the latest trends we’ve been seeing off the runway is the corset belt, most notably at Prada where we saw lace up midriff corsets layered over coats and shirts giving fresh life to innerwear as outerwear. I love the lingerie inspired corset belt being utilised in a layered, cool girl capacity rather than looking suggestive.
Here I’ve styled it over an oversized mesh tee and thrown over an oversized open shirt to give the trend an androgynous, sporty, lazy look with the black and white sports inspired stiletto boots. I posted an instagram wearing it over a jumpsuit and under a pink duster to show how else it can be styled. Other ways would be right over the oversized button up shirt with thigh high boots. Get creative and you’ll look like the ultimate cool girl at your next soiree.
Going into December I’m going to be rolling out some fun videos for you including Christmas gift ideas and even fun things to spoil yourself with (haha because let’s be honest we all kind of do!) Like this cute bag I picked up in Bali, surprisingly it fits alot and I’ve gotten so many comments on it while away and on my instagram so I wanted to share with you all where to pick one up for summer as it’s perfect for the beach!
I got to spend the day with three of my favourite girls, Helen, Ash and Kiara for Glassons… we went on a fun road trip up to Palm Beach and got to cruise with this amazing vintage 1950s Chevvy! I had such an amazing time and I never take for granted that I get to do the things I love with the best girls around me!
In this look I’m wearing my fave Glassons denim shorts, a lace racer back bralette and layered over it I’ve got this awesome oversized mesh top. Mesh tees are the biggest things right now, they’re perfect for summer because you can layer over bikinis, bralettes as well as singlet tops and it looks different every time. I have it tied up but it also looks great tucked in or undone just hanging over a pair of mom or skinny jeans and sneakers for a more tom boy look.
So get yourself into Glassons because they have literally every style of clothing you need and you can get a whole outfit for under $100!
Totally milking the ‘Casual Friday’ vibe. Wearing mom jeans and what I’m pretty sure is a men’s tee of which I have no qualms – a tee is a tee and chicks can pull of guy’s tees!
I’m also rocking the Rhianna Fentys which are these faux fur slides. Totally a ‘trend’ piece but if it’s a trend piece as comfy as this then I’m on board. I ordered my size but they probably run on the bigger size so I wish I had sized down.
And this is legit: I had run out of contacts so I was just wearing my glasses with all intentions of taking them off for the shoot but instead kept them on just because it was easier (and because I could see). My brother later asked if I were wearing contacts and if the glasses were fake prescription.. Like no. Why and who would do that? Apparently there are people who do?!
I love a good bodycon midi skirt, I’m talking LOVE. But sometimes you run the risk of looking too corporate or sexy when all you want to do is walk around the city and view the sites. In an effort to get out of jeans for once I paired this nude jersey midi skirt with a clean, fresh pair of leather Nikes to dress down the look and still look super FARSHUN. It works even if the top you’re wearing is figure hugging, but in this case I have a sweater on because it’s still winter here and cold af. Draping a long ass coat over the whole thing also really brings the ‘too sexy’ look down a notch but also raises the FARSHUN bar.
This hairstyle is also my ‘dirty hair’ hairstyle. So if you ever see me with a half up top knot you’ll know what’s up.
I wouldn’t say this is an outfit repeat but I’ve definitely worn jeans, a tee, cami and sneakers before. It’s such a go-to outfit when you want to keep it low key and just want to wear jeans and a slouchy tee but also want to layer to be like ‘Hey, at least I tried a little’. I’ve made it extra casual with my hair in a messy bun, cuffed jeans & slouchy cardi. Nothing too structured here today! Happy Friday!
Khaki olive is just one of those colours we need to have in our wardrobes. If you’re not a huge colour person like me, but want to introduce some into your outfits you need to invest in khaki. It’s subtle and there’s a reason why it’s the base colour of all army and military uniforms. It’s meant to blend in and it’s not an in your face colour or a colour that goes out of style.
I’ve matched it back with black denim because I didn’t want to be too colourful pairing it with blue or navy denim (lol). I do find that when I wear blue denim it’s always with a white, grey or black top. Not intentional, but kind of intentional. I just like investing in staple colours! Sue me
