One of my favourite looks for Fashion Week last week was this take on check suits swapping out check pants for a mini dress and a check blazer for a trench. I’ve femme’d it up by adding a Gucci belt bag (check here to see my unboxing and other way I’ve styled it) and toughened it up by adding black booties.
I like to call my style somewhere in between androgynous and feminine.
Well helloooo, The Iconic! We meet again. If you’re an OG follower you’d know I started my career in Fashion Design. I got a gig at The Iconic in 2011 as a design assistant for their in house labels which I helped grow and create and then worked my way up as designer in their start up phase! I then went on to be a designer for some other labels until I slowly worked my way into blogging full time in 2015!
So here we are now – The Iconic has asked me to be a part of their influencer campaign for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, I’m in an actual dream state that something can come so full circle. I love The Iconic and I love that they’re adding premium ranges into their product list so I’m so happy to be a part of this! And for Fashion Week so no less, what a dream come true!
Thank you to The Iconic, without your help in the start I wouldn’t be here today, literally!
These white sneakers have been a staple in my wardrobe for the last few months… and now they’re on sale! I seriously get so many comments on them and they’re my new go-to, super comfy and easy to slip on and off.
I hope everyone’s having an amazing Christmas eve! One more sleep!!!
I never thought I’d say this but these Glassons jean shorts have been my favourite piece of my summer wardrobe so far… and they were only $30!! They’re the perfect fit, not too tight, not too loose, the perfect amount of rips and the off-white is so on point that it goes with every summer top – denim shirts, crop tops, t-shirts, white button ups and bikini tops!
I’m thinking of getting a second pair just in case I lose these, if they’re in the wash or slowly die over time… and at $30 that’s not too bad of an investment! Does anyone else do that?!
I don’t think it’s possible to feel sexier in a bikini than a one piece Baywatch style red bikini. I’ve showcased some of my favourite red bikinis here before but if you’re after something a little more conservative than plunging necklines and high rise sides, then this Bonds bikini will be perfect for you (there is more coverage on the bum than how I’ve styled it).
I love jeans and I need every type of jeans, especially mum jeans. Right now what I love is this extra saucy style from Missy Empire. I love the cut out detail on the pocket, it just gives it that added va va voom. The fit is quite slouchy which I love because it gives you a very ‘cool girl’ vibe.
I’ve put it together with these awesome Superga slides because slides are the most convenient and comfy pair of shoes/ sandals in my closet right now… just slide in and go!
Are you into mum jeans or are you staying true to skinny jeans?
It’s not often I get sold on clothes. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE clothes and they all make me happy… but I don’t actually get sold on clothes the way I was with this photo here. There’s something so simple yet so sexy about this mini polka dot dress! What I like most is that it’s not ‘black and white’ it’s natural with black dots, a little bit of a more elevated colour way than black and white which can sometimes come across as quite young.
Now… if only I had the legs and body of Victoria’s Secret model, Kendall Jenner!! hahaha
Lately I’ve been adding real quality brands and styles to my collection of handbags. One of the best things is that Colette by Colette Hayman are now doing leather bags!!! Right now they’re all gorgeous staple styles which will last you a lifetime and at really affordable prices. So you can still buy your fashion favourite. For me it’s this pink leather leather cross body, because you feel like you have a $1800 bag but it’s only $90!
Which bag would you get, or which designer bag are you eyeing off??
Last week I announced that FBI Fashion College students will be showcasing their end of year designs at Castle Towers from October 5th – 17th. If you haven’t seen my Part I of this post, you can find it here.
In this post I am wearing a gorgeous champagne satin slip with embroidered denim jacket made from repurposed denim (which is amazing because I am a huge fan of recycling), designs by the young and talented Emily Parker.
I came to visit my best friend in London right after I spent a week in the Greek islands and definitely got the London treatment of hot subway rides, unsolicited rain, double decker bus rides, flowers everywhere (even if they’re fake), lots of food and improvising with outfits after travelling with the same clothes for 5 weeks.
In this post I’m wearing the same playsuit in both outfits, one was layered under a mesh tee and a denim mini, the other under a chambray shirt around my waist ready to pop over when the temperature drops (which it did!) All the while wearing the same accessories from Colette by Colette Hayman just to show how to mix and match your wardrobe whether you’re travelling or not because you don’t need to have a lot to make cute outfits, just the perfect bag and killer accessories.
