Had an amazing day at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week wearing stripe skirt suit from Cooper St and unashamedly contributing to the sea of lace up heels. The flurry of bloggers, models, editors, contributors and fashion people of the likes were a show in itself. I love seeing what people put together and their take on the current trends, or whatever trend they are trying to start.
After a long, raging week looking at all of the photos from NYFW and the snow storm that flooded the city that kept hundreds of people stranded at JFK I couldn’t be happier to be here right now. I love the feeling of the sun’s warmth on your skin, the summer breeze giving you sexy beach hair wherever you are and the water of the bay at your feet. This summer has been perfect, so I’m curious as to what the Winter will bring – either too hot for the amazing coats and layers we were inspired by at Fashion Week or too cold because Australia doesn’t know how to build houses which keep the warmth in. Call me pessimistic but Winter has always been a bitch to me.
One of the great thing about living in the city is all the little places you find in and around the bays such as this destination, Parsley Bay. The beautiful overhead bridge is a great yacht lookout, Sydney harbour lookout and it’s super rad when you bring your inflatable boats, lilos and blow up whales out here. A pool party on the ocean!
In this look I’m wearing the fantastic double ring one piece bikini with cute little laser cut flowers on the neckline from Sunseeker, hat from Sportsgirl and bag from Mary & Marie.
I don’t know about you but some days I really dress according to my mood, some days I’m all black, the next I’m in hot pink mixed with animal print on top of florals with electric blue heels – today I’m in an undefinable mood (maybe that’s a cop out cause I can’t think of one right now!) Black and white styling looks strong and although it is currently ‘trendy’, if you wear it well – it is a style, not a fleeting trend.
Both tops hand-me-downs from my old housemate when she moved out (bless), actually I think the shirt is from Yarra Trail (never dis a good men’s shirt!) denim cut offs by Wrangler, flats by Necessary clothing, small playa watch by Nixon, George Jensen necklace and Mimco chain bracelet.
