This season hasn’t been overly colourful for retailers. But who needs it? Black and white is strong, sophisticated and a staple. Build your wardrobe with neutrals and noone will realise you’re outfit repeating.
In this look I’m wearing a knit stripe midi. Often people think that horizontal stripes make you look wider but worn the right way it can actually add alot of length, visually like a ladder it can make you look taller! Hurrah! I put it together with my lace cami and leather jacket to balance looking femme and looking tough.
So excited to be asked to be a part of the Staple The Label Style Challenge! I put this coat and knit together with blazer and jeans for a very layered trans feel then we took it out to our fave spot in Sydney.
Good luck to the rest of the girls! search #staplestylechallenge on instagram to see more.
It’s been a big few days at Fashion Week! This look is from yesterday wearing and embroidered organza skirt and bomber jacket layered over wide mesh – a fantastic take on sports luxe. I’ve put it together with my fave default heels (I promise you they’re comfy I didn’t get sore feet all day!) and a perfect grey coat with turtle neck tank. I love mixing textures and colour tones and I had alot of fun putting this together.
Fashion blogging is interesting… you’re either one of those who are ahead of the trends, setting trends, on trend or completely left of centre. Being a creative is interesting also, you’re either on a whole ‘nother level of human mindset like Kanye who just wants to create things like leather jogging pants and music videos of ‘white trash’ starring himself, horses and a topless Kim or you’re the CEO of Nasty Gal which isa $250m company, an owner who never went to college but just knows her audience and tailors their product for them for the cash muni $$ after having a genuine passion for it. I respect both. I guess I’m trying to define where I sit.
Does success come from having a genuine passion and working damn hard for it… or is it just a matter of right time, right place? Probably a hybrid of both I’d say. I just pray that I’m gonna find myself in the right place at the right time with the right people saying the right things with an undeniable passion and love behind it. And I hope that you do too – what’s the point in living and apathetic, average life?
Rant over. In this look I am wearing Zara knit sweater (similar here), Staple the Label jacket (similar here), Somedays Lovin’ shorts and Spurr booties. I’ve put this look together because it’s autumn and autumn is transeasonal and I’ll get my legs out if I want to. Which I do.
I hope you all have an AMAZING Christmas! I definitely did, my sister and I cooked up a huge feast for our family for lunch. After we ate oversized portions, we opened presents and then everyone kind of just fell asleep all over the house. Talk about a perfect Christmas day haha! Today I’ll be watching the Hobbit with my family – I am so excited you do not even know.
In this look, I feel it’s perfect for a Sydney summer… as you all know I have a fondness to cute crops & high rise shorts. What’s new. However, these pieces are so cute as the crop has lace and a gorgeous sweetheart neck detail and the shorts are lilac purple organza and the colours shimmy in the sun.
Crop top from Paint it Red, shorts from Staple the Label, sunnies from MinkPink, clutch from Hello Parry and shoes from Windsor Smith.
True to form, Joc and I were just strolling the streets and came across this amazing blue garage door and white house which reminded me of all the amazing houses in Greece, or The Sims houses I used to build, so we couldn’t resist but to shoot this all white er’thang look here. White is great to help enhance a mood… and a tan. So branch out this summer and wear more white, feel happier & show off your summer skin.
Wearing Paint it Red bustier, Staple the Label shorts, Windsor Smith heels and arm cuff (which came off the shoe strap)
