I’ve been wearing this backpack to death all around the city, to shoots and to the gym! It’s such a good all-rounder and what I love is it’s real leather but not heavy at all so will be great for travelling.
Which I should mention I am going away soon!! So excited!! I’ll be in Perth from Christmas Eve until the 30th when I’ll be flying to Byron Bay for Falls Festival to meet up with some friends, then back to Western Australia down south form Perth… I’ve never been before but my boyfriend is very excited to show me around
A couple weeks ago I went to the launch of Samantha wills x Mount Franklin x McGrath Foundation charity event (you can see the full post here). Samantha designed this tee with Kelly Smith to spread the message of empowerment and support amongst women facing breast cancer. With every purchase of these tees a $30 donation will be made to the McGrath Foundation so if you love the design then purchase for a great cause.
I’ve paired the tee with a sequin mini to go back with the sequin epaulettes then toned it right back down with the chucks & tea-stained sunnies. How would you style this tee?
Last night Wes and I went for a drive towards the country for an ‘off-duty’ shoot we were doing (will share very soon!) and on our way home he was determined to find a spot we could shoot in front of the sun as it was setting – a literal chasing sunset moment. I was feeling a little sniffly by this stage (it’s freaking damn cold) and a bit headachy but had no energy to say no and I’m glad I didn’t because I’ve never shot with a sunset like this… or in an open field setting… So I guess you could say this is the real off-duty look as this outfit & location was completely impromptu.
I bought this knit because I was so inspired by Rumi Neeley thinking it would just go with everything. Turns out it doesn’t and low and behold it’s a little impractical but I still love it, it’s a new take on any jumper you’ve ever had.
Photography by Wes Tan, and props to Wes who’s always encouraging me to be a better blogger and poser! haha
When I was younger I played with alot of Barbies with my neighbour, and I’m talking alot. Every week I’d buy her new outfits and shoes & thus cemented a love of fashion, styling and Barbie pink.
Pink is tricky, to me it’s one of those colours you fear you look too girly in when you have alot of it – to break it down I’ve matched this hot pink skirt from River Island back with a black and white sporty inspired crop top which I picked up from some outlet in the states, my Zara leather jacket of which I’ve worn to death, white open-toed booties from Spurr & purple aviator sunnies from MinkPink.
It’s the last week of summer here in Sydney, sad news for me as I’m a huge water baby. I’m addicted to the salt water of the ocean, and as annoying as sand is in my hair, in the car, in my bikini, in my beach bag and eyeballs is, I keep going back. In efforts to adapt to the cooler climate I’m slowly transitioning my mind into warmer clothes, like wearing a skivvy crop top with a jersey midi skirt. Baby steps.
I don’t wear ballet flats – there’s something about them that make me look & feel too young. However, if they have a point like these JCs then that’s a different story. Points on shoes elongate the leg and add an instant ‘maturity’ about a person. I particularly love the cut outs on the side. I’ve paired it with this underwater print tee because as an Aussie girl I love the sand, the surf and the occasional snorkel – I’ve never seen anything more beautiful than the Great Barrier Reef so I love that this print has captured that.
Top from Paint it Red, Skirt from AQWA (similar here), Shoes from Jeffrey Campbell,
Don’t be deceived, this is probably the closest I got to nature today… or any day during the week as I live in a very concrete neighbourhood… but I’m not complaining. I love the fact that almost on every corner there’s a trendy Surry Hills cafe for me to have trendy coffee dates cause I’m sooo trendy (not for realz) I recommend this place though Cook & Archie’s cafe. I live life on coffee and even as I write this I’m sitting with a coffee. coffee coffee coffee.
