When the team at Colette by Colette Hayman told me they had a fun, new activation for bags that you can change daily without having to buy a whole new bag I knew I had to get involved. I love the idea of changing up the look of your bag with details as small as adding a pom pom, tassel or changing the strap! They have so many different colour options for all of the straps, tassels and pom poms you’ll actually freak out. You can see the whole range here.
Today I styled my classic black Colette Hayman bag with a natural beige pom pom and leopard print guitar strap to go back with my knitted shorts, tan shirt and star flatforms. Keep an eye out for my next few posts where I’ll change up this bag for a totally new look.
I thought I had abandoned all signs of skinny jeans, this is until I go to try the new Jeanswest Super Skinny Jeans collection. The denim is sourced from Turkey and stretches 4-ways which means they stretch up, down, left and right so there’s no option of discomfort and they don’t lose their shape. It’s a nice mid-rise for those who aren’t really into full high rise and because nobody should be wearing low-waisted jeans anymore! They’re so unflattering! So please give these bad boys a try if you’re looking at getting a pair of BA skinny jeans that will last you forever.
I’m having a moment with these wide leg cropped pants from Kookai, they fit perfectly and make any outfit 10/10. I’ve paired it with a basic cami, also from Kookai as well as my Prada bag which I’ve gotten so many comments on. I’d been looking for this bag for half a year before I enlisted my amazing photographer to search for me while he was in Asia (land of the designer hang bag) and yep… he got the ONLY one they had in the store which wasn’t even on display. Lucky Me! Well, I’ve now found it online and hopefully you can still get this bad boy for yourself, in other colours too!
It’s the perfect size for me, fits my iphone 6s plus, keys, cards, cash and lipstick. So if you’re a bit of a Mary Poppins with bags this isn’t the one for you but if you like things minimal inside your purse – look no further.
I admit most people don’t have as many bikinis as I do, but if you’re going to invest in one, it has to be a little black bikini. I love a good, supportive fit, made from good fabric like this one from All Sisters and below I’ve put together a slideshow of some others I also recommend.
One of the latest trends we’ve been seeing off the runway is the corset belt, most notably at Prada where we saw lace up midriff corsets layered over coats and shirts giving fresh life to innerwear as outerwear. I love the lingerie inspired corset belt being utilised in a layered, cool girl capacity rather than looking suggestive.
Here I’ve styled it over an oversized mesh tee and thrown over an oversized open shirt to give the trend an androgynous, sporty, lazy look with the black and white sports inspired stiletto boots. I posted an instagram wearing it over a jumpsuit and under a pink duster to show how else it can be styled. Other ways would be right over the oversized button up shirt with thigh high boots. Get creative and you’ll look like the ultimate cool girl at your next soiree.
I love roses, I love mom jeans and I love embroidered denim… so these jeans scream ‘me’ right now haha. I put these epic mom jeans together with my 90′s inspired double crop top duo, a crushed velvet cami over a white fitted tee. Layered over that is a velvet necklace with crystal from Samantha Wills. To keep it summer and basic I had chucked on my favourite slides of the season and signature round sunnies. There’s no better way than getting good use out of basics by layering them and putting them with denim.
There’s something about blue and tan being worn together, it’s such a perfect combo. I’m labelling this as the cutest summer outfit I’ve put together this whole season! (big call but not actually important) It must be a combination of the colours, the a-line mini skirt, the little peplum top that’s layered over it and these gorgeous leather gladiator sandals. Add big round sunnies for dramatic effect.
Hope you’re all having the best start to February!
A little bit of metallic highlight can amp up your #athleisure OOTD because we all know that only 30% of the people* in Sydney (specifically Bondi/ Surry Hills/ Paddington) are actually exercising in their gear. Here I’m wearing my fave silk track pants from Grana with my silver metallic capped white leather sneakers with big ‘F**k Off’ sunnies just to add drama with the earrings. Sports luxe/ Atheleisure whatever you want to call it is meant to be comfy and laid back but don’t limit yourself to capri yoga leggings and a tank top so have some fun with it!
Keeping it neutral with a grey silk cashmere tee from Grana, it’s lightweight and oversized so not too hot but would be perfect for winter as well. I’m wearing a size XS but if you prefer to wear things looser through the arms I’d get a size or two up, I don’t see the body size changing too much. It’s perfect for the lazy tuck, full tuck or fully untucked – this is the beauty of drapery fabrics.
I’ve paired it with a pair of high waisted pinstripe loose leg shorts because it’s been so hot lately and this style of short is perfect for the season & not overheating! as well as these gorgeous leather gladiator sandals which are soo comfy.
I hope you’ve achieved lots in the first half of the first month of the new year… I know I have!
You all know that 6 out of 7 of my outfits in a week will revolve around a pair of jeans and t-shirt. So in efforts to mix it up I have picked up these sick embroidered jeans and cute little “No Thanks” tee to match back with my gorgeous silver bits and peices I picked up from Aletheia Phos.
I love the gorgeous details on the silver jewellery and how easy everything is to wear with literally any outfit. Anything from their range would be a stunning gift for someone special this Christmas. My personal favourite is the I Carry Your Heart Ring. It’s a fun, new take on a heart, being more literal than figurative. Genius if you ask me! As sometimes when I wear love hearts I feel a little cutesy and girly. Which also goes back to my tee, it’s a love heart, but also a little bit of a “Yeah, nah, not interested” hahah.
