People visiting Sydney always ask me: where they should go to eat, where can they go to take pics, where is cute, where’s delicious and as much as I can recommend 1000 different venues one I can always say confidently is Watson’s Bay Boutique Hotel. Although it’s a hotel, I’ve never stayed here but I’ve been here countless times to sit in the sunshine, look out onto the water, enjoy the views, the serenity, the music and enjoy their seafood and huge menu. Their nautical themed restaurant and bars are gorgeous like a holiday beach house… so I always feel like I’m on a little vacay 30 minutes away
10 days until Valentine’s Day so I’m getting into the spirit of all things cute and red and love and blahblahblah. As if this wouldn’t be the cutest outfit to wear on a picnic with your ~bae~ on Valentine’s Day, casual yet cute ya know.
I’m actually planning a cute friends Valentine’s Day post so stay tuned!!!
I don’t actually know what Joey and I are doing for Valentines’ Day, it falls on a Wed so we’ll both be working in the day *BOO* so we’ll probably book a dinner somewhere and let’s be honest I’ll probably wear something oversized so I can eat too much as usual.
I’ve been wearing this backpack to death all around the city, to shoots and to the gym! It’s such a good all-rounder and what I love is it’s real leather but not heavy at all so will be great for travelling.
Which I should mention I am going away soon!! So excited!! I’ll be in Perth from Christmas Eve until the 30th when I’ll be flying to Byron Bay for Falls Festival to meet up with some friends, then back to Western Australia down south form Perth… I’ve never been before but my boyfriend is very excited to show me around
I never thought I’d say this but these Glassons jean shorts have been my favourite piece of my summer wardrobe so far… and they were only $30!! They’re the perfect fit, not too tight, not too loose, the perfect amount of rips and the off-white is so on point that it goes with every summer top – denim shirts, crop tops, t-shirts, white button ups and bikini tops!
I’m thinking of getting a second pair just in case I lose these, if they’re in the wash or slowly die over time… and at $30 that’s not too bad of an investment! Does anyone else do that?!
I don’t think I could see a palm print bag like this and just walk away – it’s soo cute and perfect for summer with a white playsuit or dress. I also had to pop on these statement earrings because it’s the season to be bright and stand out a little! Let’s get festive and let’s get happy, how can you not be at a time like this!!?
I love jeans and I need every type of jeans, especially mum jeans. Right now what I love is this extra saucy style from Missy Empire. I love the cut out detail on the pocket, it just gives it that added va va voom. The fit is quite slouchy which I love because it gives you a very ‘cool girl’ vibe.
I’ve put it together with these awesome Superga slides because slides are the most convenient and comfy pair of shoes/ sandals in my closet right now… just slide in and go!
Are you into mum jeans or are you staying true to skinny jeans?
I can’t believe we stumbled upon this gorgeous little cafe in Manly, it literally made me feel like I was on a vacation from the eastern suburbs of Sydney! With my stripey dress, weekender and backpack next to the grass bar I felt like I was on a tropical getaway. Funny how a little outfit change, an ice latte, driving half and hour up the coast and a fresh set of earrings can perk your mood.
Shop Tobi Jennifer Blue & White Crop TopTrying new things is one of my favourite things. A lot of people like to stick with what they know and are comfortable with, but I challenge you to try new things as you may be pleasantly surprised from time to time. A new restaurant, a new hair style, a new walking or driving route, a new item on the menu and in this case, a new drink.
So when Alsolut Vodka came out with this new pre-mix flavour by one of my favourite drinks Absolut Botanik, I had to try it: Berry and Lemon… and now I’m hooked! Literally two of my favourite flavours, lemonade and berries! A match made in heaven.
In this post I’ve showcased the lifespan with this new bottle. I’ve taken out to a day in the park, enjoying it as I’m heading to a party with my friends and at the party, and then upclying it (one of my favourite things to do as I try to minimise waste). Then I kept the bottle and used it as a vase for some greenery around the house!
What do you think?! And what will you try out that’s new this week?
Last week I announced that FBI Fashion College students will be showcasing their end of year designs at Castle Towers from October 5th – 17th. If you haven’t seen my Part I of this post, you can find it here.
In this post I am wearing a gorgeous champagne satin slip with embroidered denim jacket made from repurposed denim (which is amazing because I am a huge fan of recycling), designs by the young and talented Emily Parker.
I’m a huge fan of a staycation in your own city. There’s nothing like seeing this beautiful town from another point of view, especially when that view is at the top of the town! With only eight rooms in total, Hotel Palisade is truely one of the most unique hotels you’ll ever stay in. There’s no room service or breakfast but it does have one of the most delicious rooftop restaurants I’ve ever been to, Henry Deane. The best part is you don’t have to be a guest at the hotel to visit, I recommend the scallops and froze!
Hotel Palisade is also in prime position for all Uber Eats delivery services (which I may have dabbled in), otherwise you can just stroll down to Barangaroo 10 minutes down the road and dine at any of the restaurants or cafes there as well as tonnes of shopping!
Every single room has a stunning view and the staff are so helpful and passionate about what they do which is always a nice family to be a part of, even if for a night.
So if you’re looking at a unique Sydney hotel experience, you can’t beat Hotel Palisade. You’re right in the city but not in the CBD so it’s never noisy with sirens, cars, or foot traffic. A peaceful getaway in the heart of Sydney everyone should experience at least once.
