A new take on Double Denim! I love this denim bag and denim jacket combo it’s so lush. I’m really into a blue and pink colour palette right now so I’m feeling super fresh haha.
Also, I’m obsessed with these Converse Sneakers. They have a bit of a platform which magically makes your legs suuuuper long! I don’t think anyone should be going through their life without a pair of Converse Sneakers, and if you already have one then get another! and make it platform!!! You won’t regret it.
I’m just gonna put it out there… I’m a bit bikini obsessed. I love a good quality bikini and that includes the perfect little black one piece bikini that should be staple in everyone’s beach wardrobe. I’m going to talk you through your options and what’s best for your bust shape.
Smaller chest: Your traditionally trained stylist with tell you to go for something with ruffles or bows or something that has embellishment on the chest to accentuate your bust. To me that’s fine, but personally I am a much more minimal bikini wearer and I don’t ever wear bows or frills on anything. I would embrace not having a ridiculous amount of cleavage and opt for a super low cut bikini like this one which has padding in it. The beauty of not having out there cleavage means you can get away with this style without looking slutty. Another alternative is a style with a alot of panel detailing on the bust. Super fashion forward.
Bigger Chest: I’d say I fall into this category (being a DD) and although I love the high neck style it actually doesn’t make your chest look smaller or flatter your bust, but in fact tends to make it look bigger with more of a monoboob vibe. Unless that’s the look you’re going for then I’d suggest a low cut style, but not too low cut (because from experience your boobs fall right out!). I love backless styles and if you don’t feel like you need the ‘support’ then give this style a go but there are also plenty of one-piece styles that have the in-built bra with a much more conservative back.
Somewhere in between: You’re the babes that can get away with any of the above. Try a balconette style or one of these sexy front zip bikinis which you can adjust to whatever mood you’re in <insert winky face>
There’s nothing cosier than a fleecy pullover in winter. Working from home I live in them everyday & why wouldn’t I stock on on something I wear 7 days a week! hahah
Just checking in on this weekend edit and giving you the low-down on what’s been happening. I’ve officially moved into full time blogging (yay!) as well as creating content and still designing freelance. I set up a cute studio in my home (apartment) and despite all the extra hours I’m getting to work on the blog I still find myself working 7 days a week. How?? I guess the reality with blogging is that social media never turns off so you can’t either.
I do occasionally let myself have social media detox days where I don’t post or check instagram or any outlet I can’t be bothered with as it just de-stresses me and clears my head. Something that everyone who’s addicted to social media should do every so often.
A couple weeks ago I went to the launch of Samantha wills x Mount Franklin x McGrath Foundation charity event (you can see the full post here). Samantha designed this tee with Kelly Smith to spread the message of empowerment and support amongst women facing breast cancer. With every purchase of these tees a $30 donation will be made to the McGrath Foundation so if you love the design then purchase for a great cause.
I’ve paired the tee with a sequin mini to go back with the sequin epaulettes then toned it right back down with the chucks & tea-stained sunnies. How would you style this tee?
So I was suppose to go out and shoot this morning but it’s raining like a mofo so I thought I’d take the time to share with you this weekend edit Wes and I shot last weekend… in the wind… and the rain… (don’t mind the hair flick… there was so much wind) So we literally only captured these few pics but I actually love how the colours turned out.
I had to put a grunge element of the black tee, and leather jacket back with the floral pants because I don’t think that these types of pants are very ‘sexy’ on me. So even when I tried to make them ‘sexy’ in heels I just LOLed at myself in the mirror like ‘who are you kidding’, please put the chucks on and stop pretending to be hot. Moral of the story. Don’t try to wear anything just because you’ve seen other people wear them a certain way. Instead, be comfortable and be you because confidence comes from self-esteem and people can see confidence over a ‘good outfit’ that isn’t ‘you’ any day.
