And she’s back at it again with the over the knee boots!! I love that these boots have the gorgeous lace up detailing on the back, matched back with the colour it looks bohemian and chic. However, me being me I’m not hugely bohemian and the best I could incorporate the boho vibes is this frayed chambray hem shirt from A brand hanging down the back mixed with slouchy knitwear from MLM. A perfect look for Fashion Week when you don’t want to look too serious and don’t want to blend in with all the black & flares
I have a thing for sexy rocks. Sexy rocks and double denim. I love getting out and seeing natural formations and colours like the sandstone beneath the dirty greys. Maybe I’m looking into it a bit too much but that’s my brain (the kooky creative type?) Likewise with denim, it’s seems so natural, natural cotton fibres intertwined weft and warp, heavy, sturdy and durable. Seemed like a perfect place to shoot.
Almost nothing is more satisfying than a forecast of rain all long weekend right before the sun slams down through the clouds like it ain’t no thang. Take that, Sydney rainy long weekend forecast. This weekend ruled. Joc and I took to the harbour to create some memories. Like this one where she faced her fear of heights and climbed a high ledge to take these shots. Like a boss.
In this outfit I style these jeans from Unif which Joc and my dad do not understand with comments like ‘Why are there giant holes in your pants, they are useless’ & ‘Your pants are broken’. GD, it’s faaarrrshunnn, look it up. jokes. but fo realz. Do you know how long it takes to distress a perfectly good pair of jeans? Anyway, I matched them back with this men’s chambray shirt from The Academy Brand. I bought this shirt in XS as it still fits a bit oversized which is pretty dope. I layered my faux fur Cameo coat over with my simple sandals to give that confused with the weather look.
The interesting thing about living where I live is that the rooftop changes every month. The graffiti art gets painted over and over and over. Sometimes it’s bad, sometimes it’s good, but usually it’s a fun & easy backdrop for a very black & white (and light chambray) outfit like the one here.
I love this ‘CELIZE BAG’ top from UNIF, the jersey is a really nice washed back quality that drapes really well, I hate stiff, cardboard jersey tees. The running shorts are from adidas which I picked up from the states, I have a pink pair here. Unfortunately they ride up when you actually go running… annoying! The chambray denim sleeveless anorak vest is from Nasty Gal. This is perfect for me because I LOVE chambray and anoraks, this is a perfect combo for spring as you can layer it over any outfit & adds that touch or punk or rock without adding alot of black. Jellies are from Lipstik. I really love the heel on this. Perfect height!
