I’m a huge fan of a staycation in your own city. There’s nothing like seeing this beautiful town from another point of view, especially when that view is at the top of the town! With only eight rooms in total, Hotel Palisade is truely one of the most unique hotels you’ll ever stay in. There’s no room service or breakfast but it does have one of the most delicious rooftop restaurants I’ve ever been to, Henry Deane. The best part is you don’t have to be a guest at the hotel to visit, I recommend the scallops and froze!
Hotel Palisade is also in prime position for all Uber Eats delivery services (which I may have dabbled in), otherwise you can just stroll down to Barangaroo 10 minutes down the road and dine at any of the restaurants or cafes there as well as tonnes of shopping!
Every single room has a stunning view and the staff are so helpful and passionate about what they do which is always a nice family to be a part of, even if for a night.
So if you’re looking at a unique Sydney hotel experience, you can’t beat Hotel Palisade. You’re right in the city but not in the CBD so it’s never noisy with sirens, cars, or foot traffic. A peaceful getaway in the heart of Sydney everyone should experience at least once.
As an alumni of FBI Fashion College,I was sooo excited that I finally get to collaborate with their up and coming fashion design students who have made some truely amazing and beautiful designs. Here I am wearing a dress designed by Tianna Murkins. I love the rose gold fabric which has a dobby stripe through the fabric. She’s cut the pieces of the dress so that they are a-symmetrical and highlight the neckline and catch the light in so many ways, small details which are really the eye of a good designer.
This is only one of the pieces of her collection, not to mention the many other designers that will be on show at Castle Towers from October 5th until October 17th… so if you’re interested in seeing what the Future of Fashion will be, please go check it out!
I’m a huge fan of the mini bag, the cross body and gold detailing, add a few pearls and you’ve found a gorgeous new addition to your spring wardrobe! This little bag is such a statement piece that I don’t recommend wearing it with prints like stripes, polka dots, or florals but let it be the stand out piece of your outfit with solid colours.
So hello Spring and goodbye jackets (finally!) because I have NO TIME for you.
A little impromptu shoot I did with Wes while out at Bronte pool. So simple yet I love this series of images (if I say so myself) which I think is a good indicator that I’m doing what I love. After a series of unfortunate events with work that got and me down and down again I love that what I truely love doing is creating content and producing work I’m proud of with my team, a team of two. Wes and I. Hahahah.
In a world where everything you do has to be done because you’re paid for it it’s nice to step back and do something you’re not paid for a remember why you started in the first place, decide if you still love doing it or not. If you do, keep going!! If you don’t, find something else you’re good at and start that. It’s never too late to start a new career.
I had to share with you some snaps I took while in Lake Como, Italy with my handsome boyfriend, Joe and his family (first time he’s ever been featured!). The highlight of the trip was going to Villa Del Balbianello in Lenno, it’s the heavily manicured gardens you see in my midi length floral dress… highly recommend! Also, the best way to see the lake is from the lake – take the ferry or if you’re lucky enough get a boat!
This place is a dream and everywhere is a photo opportunity not to be missed.
I came to visit my best friend in London right after I spent a week in the Greek islands and definitely got the London treatment of hot subway rides, unsolicited rain, double decker bus rides, flowers everywhere (even if they’re fake), lots of food and improvising with outfits after travelling with the same clothes for 5 weeks.
In this post I’m wearing the same playsuit in both outfits, one was layered under a mesh tee and a denim mini, the other under a chambray shirt around my waist ready to pop over when the temperature drops (which it did!) All the while wearing the same accessories from Colette by Colette Hayman just to show how to mix and match your wardrobe whether you’re travelling or not because you don’t need to have a lot to make cute outfits, just the perfect bag and killer accessories.
As you know I haven’t been in Sydney for any winter festivals but I’ve been loving life over on this side of the world in Europe and making it a little festival of my own! I’m fully decked out in Asos because it’s one of my favourite online destinations for festival and travel looks because it’s affordable and has so much range!
In this look running the streets of Santorini I’ve put together a cute and fruity colourful tee, a baker boy hat, statement buckle sneakers and of course, denim. Most of my readers know I’m a huge sucker for denim and Asos has a great range from their jeans to skirts and shorts. I got the skirt because it’s perfect for the summer and sooo versatile. I especially love the raw hem to make it even more casual.
So I’m sitting in a breathtakingly gorgeous villa in Lake Como with my boyfriend and his generous and amazing family… this is just going to be a quick and fun little blog post on one of my favourite outfits so far and I’ll do a separate post on what I’ve discovered and found and things to do in Lake Como so check back and let me know what you want to know!
I did a little 3 day staycation at the gorgeous boutique Primus Hotel right in the heart of the city… and it was gorgeous! Greeted with valet parking and a luxury suite which feels like the size of a small apartment, it was warm, inviting and definitely living in luxury.
These outfit photos were taken on the sun soaked rooftop which I can’t wait to come back and visit in summer because they’ll have a fully decked out bar and an amazing pool to laze about in.
Waking up to a breakfast buffet was definitely a treat as well as coming back at 5pm for a cheeky cocktail and charcuterie board in their open, spacious ground level bar. This is definitely a gorgeous place to stay if you’re looking at being right in the heart of the city!
Denim, off the shoulder, puffy sleeves, pink shearling, acne boots and the perfect pink clutch makes for one hell of an outfit for a day out in the city. My favourite details are layering fine pieces like the skinny chokers and the long necklace with added sparkle from a star studded brooch I attached to the skirt from Colette by Colette Hayman. It’s understated and really changes up a plain outfit. You can add this brooch to your hair, a jacket, a bag, a top button on a collared shirt – get creative and have fun! And thanks for reading, I trust you all had the best long weekend!
