I (and many others) am obsessed with slip dresses right now. I love the feeling of satin and the only thing better than that is satin on satin. I love layering these pyjama style pieces together to get the ultimate cool girl relaxed style outfit. I’ve put it together with leather to grunge it up and a pair of studded gladiator heels & leather wrap neck choker.
Rose gold backpacks have been popping up everywhere… so naturally I’m getting on board! The best one I’ve found is this one from Colette, it’s the perfect size, shape and holds everything you need. I’ve worn it with these awesome patched up jeans & slides for an off-duty look with my rose gold Colette aviators.
This is probably one of my favourite outfits I’ve ever put together. I love the fit and flare shape of the sleeves with the skirt and all the neutral colours giving highlight to the denim blue boots and the cute little embroidery on the side. I’m rarely boho but this is a nice little gateway to the style.
This is just a little BTS teaser trailer for a shoot I did with Contiki a couple weeks ago in Caye Caulker, Belize. On this day I wore my Grana cropped tee, we hired bikes, rode around the island, swam at the beach and ended the day on a sail around the island drinking rum punch and dancing the end of our holiday into the sunset. A pretty picturesque and perfect day if you ask me for island life!
It’s been too long since my last blog post but it’s only because I’ve been overseas and it’s been a week since I’ve been back so I’m only just getting back into it now that I have set up my new Macbook since mine was stolen overseas! So much drama but everything is good now
This week I went out to Bondi (as per usual) for a coffee and to catch up with my team on projects for the next few months. In this look for our meeting I’m wearing Tony & Will watch, my favourite new black and rose gold watch with a big, beautiful face. I love watches with bigger faces, it’s more of a statement and the black and rose gold combo is gorgeous, masculine and feminine at the same time.
One sunny day this week snuck in between the rainy ones and we got a gloriously hot & beautiful day. On this day I layered my favourite silk shirt from Grana over my new bustier from Naran as well as gorgeous grey leather mini skirt from Kookai. I love mixing plains with details such as lace and this gorgeous metal detailing on my new metal bag from St Xavier, it’s more subtle than clashing prints but still makes a statement.
When the team at Colette by Colette Hayman told me they had a fun, new activation for bags that you can change daily without having to buy a whole new bag I knew I had to get involved. I love the idea of changing up the look of your bag with details as small as adding a pom pom, tassel or changing the strap! They have so many different colour options for all of the straps, tassels and pom poms you’ll actually freak out. You can see the whole range here.
Today I styled my classic black Colette Hayman bag with a natural beige pom pom and leopard print guitar strap to go back with my knitted shorts, tan shirt and star flatforms. Keep an eye out for my next few posts where I’ll change up this bag for a totally new look.
I thought I had abandoned all signs of skinny jeans, this is until I go to try the new Jeanswest Super Skinny Jeans collection. The denim is sourced from Turkey and stretches 4-ways which means they stretch up, down, left and right so there’s no option of discomfort and they don’t lose their shape. It’s a nice mid-rise for those who aren’t really into full high rise and because nobody should be wearing low-waisted jeans anymore! They’re so unflattering! So please give these bad boys a try if you’re looking at getting a pair of BA skinny jeans that will last you forever.
I admit most people don’t have as many bikinis as I do, but if you’re going to invest in one, it has to be a little black bikini. I love a good, supportive fit, made from good fabric like this one from All Sisters and below I’ve put together a slideshow of some others I also recommend.
So I recently got two new styles of bluetooth headphones, in ears and over-the-head headphones (the ones featured above). I’m in the process of deciding which ones I like better but I think it’s case by case, there are scenarios where you’d prefer in ears and cases where you’d prefer over the head. So I think having both styles is justified.
These Sony headphones are like nothing else I’ve ever used. As soon as you put them on without even playing music the whole world shuts out around you. You’re in your own world and all noise is honestly cancelled out. As soon as the music plays the sound quality is perfect, I was too keen and didn’t read any instructions, I just chucked them on and connected the bluetooth to my phone (which took only 2 seconds) and then realised there are so many little movements you can do on the headphones while they’re on which can turn the sounds on and off, play the next track or turn off noise cancelling and turn on ambient sound.
If you travel a lot or spend a lot of time at your desk with headphones on I couldn’t recommend these enough. They’re also great for studio mixing (as I do a lot of video editing) as they also come with an aux cable if you need to plug it into your computer or discman (I think my grandma still uses those!)
The only thing I would have to say is maybe my head is too small and I wish it had the option to be 1cm shorter in the top as I’m at the minimum length and I feel like it could be shorter, so if you think you have a small head like me perhaps go into the store and try it on. It’s not a huge deal but just a small thing I would change about the specs if I could.
