People visiting Sydney always ask me: where they should go to eat, where can they go to take pics, where is cute, where’s delicious and as much as I can recommend 1000 different venues one I can always say confidently is Watson’s Bay Boutique Hotel. Although it’s a hotel, I’ve never stayed here but I’ve been here countless times to sit in the sunshine, look out onto the water, enjoy the views, the serenity, the music and enjoy their seafood and huge menu. Their nautical themed restaurant and bars are gorgeous like a holiday beach house… so I always feel like I’m on a little vacay 30 minutes away
Sometimes getting out of town to explore new inspiration is the right thing to do. Believe it or not but this is Wes and I’s first swim shoot this summer! I think it’s partly because we were both away over Christmas and New Year’s and the fact that I personally haven’t been super motivated to shoot swim because I haven’t been my fittest.
Buuuuttt sometime’s it’s good to force yourself to do what you love and just cover up the pizza belly with a one piece hahah. I’m actually super obsessed with this gorgeous one-piece from Kopper and Zink. The detail is gorgeous and the cut and colour is perfect. It’s not too cheeky as it doesn’t come up too high on the sides and not too conservative, I think it’s a perfect in between if that’s what you’re looking for.
10 days until Valentine’s Day so I’m getting into the spirit of all things cute and red and love and blahblahblah. As if this wouldn’t be the cutest outfit to wear on a picnic with your ~bae~ on Valentine’s Day, casual yet cute ya know.
I’m actually planning a cute friends Valentine’s Day post so stay tuned!!!
I don’t actually know what Joey and I are doing for Valentines’ Day, it falls on a Wed so we’ll both be working in the day *BOO* so we’ll probably book a dinner somewhere and let’s be honest I’ll probably wear something oversized so I can eat too much as usual.
These white sneakers have been a staple in my wardrobe for the last few months… and now they’re on sale! I seriously get so many comments on them and they’re my new go-to, super comfy and easy to slip on and off.
I hope everyone’s having an amazing Christmas eve! One more sleep!!!
Yes, I like things, shoes, bags and jewellery but I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy me that stuff because it’s so personal to me and I like what I like and usually not what anyone else picks for me. So don’t even bother. If you have to buy a gift for someone like that, or for a person who already has everything they want then I recommend you give a gift of experience… that’s what I would like the most.
1) GET THEM HIGH (no, not like that)
What’s more thrilling than the thought of being thousands of feet above ground? Get your loved one a flying experience. Let them feel the wind on their face and see the cityscape in its full glory from high above, and they are sure to always remember this unforgettable adventure.
I did this earlier this year it was so much fun, it’s amazing seeing everything from the sky and it’s crazy to put in perspective how fast it is to go to Sydney to Manly and back in 20 minutes… no traffic life is the best life…
Stay at this gorgeous hotel and then see the sun rise over the city?!! wowwww get me here ASAP
3) GET THEM MOVING
If your friends and family aren’t the type to want to just sit around then take them on an adrenaline ride and some unique experiences and thanks to budget airlines it’s so easy to go away for a few nights!
If you haven’t snorkelled or dove the Great Barrier Reef I beg you to get off your butt and do this immediately. Year by year the reef is dying and it will be less and less exciting to see as time goes on. So hop to it and book something!!
Such a surreal and unique experience, the team treat you so well with buffet dinner and a sweet glamped out tent. You get to feed the giraffes in the morning and go into the monkey enclosure, it’s so fun and such a beautiful view!
4) CRASH COURSE FOR NEW ENDEAVOUR
Give your loved ones the opportunity to end the year with a new beginning, something new to learn and carry on to the coming year. Who knows? You might be helping them discover new passions and interests!
If I’m being honest you don’t need ‘lessons’ on how to paddle board, it’s so easy. So so so easy. I love paddleboarding it’s such a good work out, you get a tan while you do it and you get to see parts of the ocean you never would have been able to before.
I’m so lucky because the Moonlight Cinemas are about a 10 minute walk from my house into the local park… I love this movie going experience on a hot summer’s night with friends on a bunch of bean bags, a drink and some snuck in snacks. Hot tip, if you know someone who uses Telstra they can get cheap tickets!
My go-to for making me feel goooooood. If you know someone who has wanted a fresh cut or colour but hasn’t wanted to fork out any real cash for it… do them a favour and send them to Penny at Barney Martin
We all have that one friend who can’t seem to stay put in one place, always finding new places to explore and adventures to try out. Their biggest challenge? Packing light! Yes, it can be quite tempting to stuff all the things we just can’t live without in our travel trunks, even it it means more baggage weight. Luckily for us and our travel junkie friends, here are some genius travel goodies to make packing easier for us, and travel adventures more convenient and comfortable. Grab some for yourself or gift them to a friend, they are sure to take them wherever they go!
A new take on Double Denim! I love this denim bag and denim jacket combo it’s so lush. I’m really into a blue and pink colour palette right now so I’m feeling super fresh haha.
Also, I’m obsessed with these Converse Sneakers. They have a bit of a platform which magically makes your legs suuuuper long! I don’t think anyone should be going through their life without a pair of Converse Sneakers, and if you already have one then get another! and make it platform!!! You won’t regret it.
I never thought I’d say this but these Glassons jean shorts have been my favourite piece of my summer wardrobe so far… and they were only $30!! They’re the perfect fit, not too tight, not too loose, the perfect amount of rips and the off-white is so on point that it goes with every summer top – denim shirts, crop tops, t-shirts, white button ups and bikini tops!
I’m thinking of getting a second pair just in case I lose these, if they’re in the wash or slowly die over time… and at $30 that’s not too bad of an investment! Does anyone else do that?!
Can’t decide whether to save some dollars or to spoil everyone on your gift buying list? Whichever way you choose to go, here’s a handy guide on what to buy for your girlfriend, boyfriend or yourself
I’ve found some of my favourite heels, boots and sneakers from YSL and if you just want to steal the look instead of take the plunge for the real deal I have some amazing options which your bank account may be grateful for. I’ve also found you some amazing options for bluetooth headphones and speakers as well as my favourite chronograph watches.
I don’t think I could see a palm print bag like this and just walk away – it’s soo cute and perfect for summer with a white playsuit or dress. I also had to pop on these statement earrings because it’s the season to be bright and stand out a little! Let’s get festive and let’s get happy, how can you not be at a time like this!!?
