I admit most people don’t have as many bikinis as I do, but if you’re going to invest in one, it has to be a little black bikini. I love a good, supportive fit, made from good fabric like this one from All Sisters and below I’ve put together a slideshow of some others I also recommend.
So I recently got two new styles of bluetooth headphones, in ears and over-the-head headphones (the ones featured above). I’m in the process of deciding which ones I like better but I think it’s case by case, there are scenarios where you’d prefer in ears and cases where you’d prefer over the head. So I think having both styles is justified.
These Sony headphones are like nothing else I’ve ever used. As soon as you put them on without even playing music the whole world shuts out around you. You’re in your own world and all noise is honestly cancelled out. As soon as the music plays the sound quality is perfect, I was too keen and didn’t read any instructions, I just chucked them on and connected the bluetooth to my phone (which took only 2 seconds) and then realised there are so many little movements you can do on the headphones while they’re on which can turn the sounds on and off, play the next track or turn off noise cancelling and turn on ambient sound.
If you travel a lot or spend a lot of time at your desk with headphones on I couldn’t recommend these enough. They’re also great for studio mixing (as I do a lot of video editing) as they also come with an aux cable if you need to plug it into your computer or discman (I think my grandma still uses those!)
The only thing I would have to say is maybe my head is too small and I wish it had the option to be 1cm shorter in the top as I’m at the minimum length and I feel like it could be shorter, so if you think you have a small head like me perhaps go into the store and try it on. It’s not a huge deal but just a small thing I would change about the specs if I could.
The perfect little statement bag is here. Sending good vibes through quilted gold and chains! I’m obsessed with this little love heart cross over bag from Colette by Colette Hayman, it adds personality and glamour to any look whether it’s casual or cocktail. If the love heart shape isn’t for you I recommend this metal gold quilted clutch for a more classic look.
I’ve teamed it with a thigh high split lace skirt and oversized tee for a laid back, going out look with strappy khaki heels from Billini.
Why did I get Ecosa? I was on the search for a new mattress for a long while before I decided to go with the Ecosa mattress. I chose to go with this one because it’s made of natural latex which is excellent because it’s apparently good for your spine, as well as being supportive and bouncy. This is the first time I’ve had a mattress that didn’t have springs, but the last one I did have was on it’s last legs (so to speak) and I could start to feel the springs through the mattress and that totally sucked so I opted for this option.
How was delivery? The delivery process was awesome. I loved that it came in a box and all I had to do was take it out of the box! you can see the video below. The only downside is that the handle broke off the box so I needed to get help lifting it up my flight of stairs otherwise I would have been able to do it myself as there are wheels on the box.
How is it? Honestly, the day after my first night was bad, my back was sore because it’s so much softer than I was used to (from my springy, hard old mattress) and I thought I had made the wrong choice! After a few nights of sleep I definitely got used to it. I no longer feel like it’s too soft when I sleep and I don’t get disturbed when my partner sleeps over and rolls around, or gets up and off the bed in the middle of the night the way I get woken up every time on his spring mattress.
Is it worth the money?
After all the research I did with some mattresses going going upwards of $15k! I thought that the price of $1,099 was amazing considering you can return it after 100 nights if for some reason you don’t get used to it after over 3 months! and it has 15 years warranty! A mattress is something you invest in for years as it’s something you use every singe night!
With Valentine’s Day coming up tomorrow I thought I’d put together a cute and flirty look with one of my favourite bras EVER! It’s a lacey halter which was designed to look like tattoos on the skin. Everytime I wear this bra under any outfit I get so many comments on my look. It’s such a nice element that not many people think to incorporate into their style routine. Adding a hint of sexy lingerie (especially on Valentine’s Day) will get your date excited for a beautiful night out (or in!)
I put it together with this bustier and mini skirt for a going out but and casual look. Alternatively, I’d swap out the skirt for a pair of high waisted, long, wide leg pants if you’re not a mini skirt kind of girl. Another way you can wear this bra is with a low-neck blouse or dress – trust me, it works every time
One of the latest trends we’ve been seeing off the runway is the corset belt, most notably at Prada where we saw lace up midriff corsets layered over coats and shirts giving fresh life to innerwear as outerwear. I love the lingerie inspired corset belt being utilised in a layered, cool girl capacity rather than looking suggestive.
Here I’ve styled it over an oversized mesh tee and thrown over an oversized open shirt to give the trend an androgynous, sporty, lazy look with the black and white sports inspired stiletto boots. I posted an instagram wearing it over a jumpsuit and under a pink duster to show how else it can be styled. Other ways would be right over the oversized button up shirt with thigh high boots. Get creative and you’ll look like the ultimate cool girl at your next soiree.
Dusty Rose is easily one of my favourite colours this season, it’s not a baby pink, not a mauve but a very specific tone of pink which will transition from summer into autumn perfectly. Also, if you haven’t found yourself jumping onto the velvet band wagon yet please let this dusty pink cami be your segway. Glassons also carry this gorgeous pink crushed velvet slip dress which I styled on my insta here. I saw the cami and dress and although almost the same I needed both haha don’t judge. But with such affordable prices why not!? My favourite part about collecting so much dusty pink over the season is that I can style it all together. I love the duster with the cami and bag – don’t be afraid to double or triple up your colour scheme because it really stands out.
I love roses, I love mom jeans and I love embroidered denim… so these jeans scream ‘me’ right now haha. I put these epic mom jeans together with my 90′s inspired double crop top duo, a crushed velvet cami over a white fitted tee. Layered over that is a velvet necklace with crystal from Samantha Wills. To keep it summer and basic I had chucked on my favourite slides of the season and signature round sunnies. There’s no better way than getting good use out of basics by layering them and putting them with denim.
There’s something about blue and tan being worn together, it’s such a perfect combo. I’m labelling this as the cutest summer outfit I’ve put together this whole season! (big call but not actually important) It must be a combination of the colours, the a-line mini skirt, the little peplum top that’s layered over it and these gorgeous leather gladiator sandals. Add big round sunnies for dramatic effect.
Hope you’re all having the best start to February!
A relaxed little number for day to night. And I don’t mean office to night I mean go out for arvo drinks which turn into the night lol. I have paired this plunging crop top with these textured shorts because sometimes you’re not in the mood for a figure hugging pencil skirt or jeans just aren’t high enough! (a girl’s gotta eat and I don’t want any unsolicited rolls!). As a safety net & an element of casualness I’ve added my favourite go-to silk button up as a cover up. Because it’s silk it’s gorgeously drapes over your shoulders without it looking corporate and if it were to get chilly in the night then just wear it open and roll up the sleeves a couple times.
