Now the east coast (where we are) doesn’t ever get a sunset so any chance to witness a good one over the water is rare. Especially for Wes and I who are not by any means morning people who will never get up to see the sun rise.
So after a full day of shooting (about 10 hours) I was exhausted and ready to call it quits but luckily for me I have the best friend and photographer in the world who was motivated and excited enough to drive down the road and check out the ‘Long Jetty’ we’ve heard so much about at sunset.
So this is why I’m dressed like I’ve just had a full day at the beach, a little bit CBF and I am definitely in my ‘comfy clothes’…mom jeans, an oversized shirt and thongs (flip flops). Luckily this look was elevated by these gorgeous earrings, choker necklace and this cute mini bucket bag from Colette. But sometimes the realest moments are the ones you don’t plan, the ones you don’t have to dress up for, the ones you just look at the sky, look at the water, see the colours of the sun and clouds dancing on the gentles ripples of the lagoon, appreciate the beautiful things in life and selah.
