There’s nothing cosier than a fleecy pullover in winter. Working from home I live in them everyday & why wouldn’t I stock on on something I wear 7 days a week! hahah
Just checking in on this weekend edit and giving you the low-down on what’s been happening. I’ve officially moved into full time blogging (yay!) as well as creating content and still designing freelance. I set up a cute studio in my home (apartment) and despite all the extra hours I’m getting to work on the blog I still find myself working 7 days a week. How?? I guess the reality with blogging is that social media never turns off so you can’t either.
I do occasionally let myself have social media detox days where I don’t post or check instagram or any outlet I can’t be bothered with as it just de-stresses me and clears my head. Something that everyone who’s addicted to social media should do every so often.
So I was suppose to go out and shoot this morning but it’s raining like a mofo so I thought I’d take the time to share with you this weekend edit Wes and I shot last weekend… in the wind… and the rain… (don’t mind the hair flick… there was so much wind) So we literally only captured these few pics but I actually love how the colours turned out.
I had to put a grunge element of the black tee, and leather jacket back with the floral pants because I don’t think that these types of pants are very ‘sexy’ on me. So even when I tried to make them ‘sexy’ in heels I just LOLed at myself in the mirror like ‘who are you kidding’, please put the chucks on and stop pretending to be hot. Moral of the story. Don’t try to wear anything just because you’ve seen other people wear them a certain way. Instead, be comfortable and be you because confidence comes from self-esteem and people can see confidence over a ‘good outfit’ that isn’t ‘you’ any day.
OK wow, who knew how productive & inspired you can be when your body clock decides to wake up at 6.45am on a Saturday morning after 3 hours sleep. So I thought I’d shoot out a weekend edit (short and sweet) post.
I do have a penchant for trees with big, hanging branches (who doesn’t). My friend Ingrid and I found the most magical one in the Botanic gardens, Sydney which was 3 times the size of this one and spent the afternoon swinging from branch to branch. The week after it was blocked off with ‘do not climb the trees’ signs all over it. So either we just got lucky or we broke the tree.
In this look I am wearing All About Eve Inca Shift Dress. As I always say shift dresses are for everyone so get into it.
Ellie and Shawn… two very talented and lovely people. Find Ellie on her blog here and Shawn on his page here. Heading in! Yes, that’s a giant pretzel!!
Klara felt inspired to make these real frangipani head crowns… so cute. || WEEKEND EDIT||
I thought I’d share you a snapshot into my new year’s eve day with a couple of the amazing people I was with. I’m very appreciative of the friends I have and the city that I live in. Shot at Parsley Bay, I had the best day in the sun celebrating the last few hours of the year.
