Undefinably I’m easily obsessed with bikinis and this one is right up there. It’s so unique because it’s very different to your nylon, neoprene and crochet bikini. It’s knitted and basically the Herve Leger of bikinis. It’s that type of bodycon knit you used to wear.
I had to top up my winter skin with this new Bondi Sands liquid told tanner which seems to be a faster drying formula to their other mouses and lotions I’ve tried. So far so good but the colour doesn’t seem to be as deep as the other two. Perhaps with another layer or just being more generous I could have achieved that effect.
Let me know if you’d like me to do a sunless tan review on YouTube of all the brands I’ve tried to help guide you to the best choice for you!

It’s no secret that I’m a little bit of a foodie. I enjoy a meal out here or there, everywhere, everyday. So I went and checked out Grandma’s in Rosebery for something different with my also foodie fashion blogger friend, Laurie. Their homestyle cooking menu is just what we needed. Especially as I’m not one to cook a hearty meal for myself at home, ever. But I’m sure one day when I’m forced to cook for myself, and maybe even a family, I’ll be looking at Grandma’s menu for inspiration! But until that day I’ll just pop this little gem on the eating list.

What defines a good year?
Is it the friends you made? the friends you retained? getting into a relationship? staying in a relationship? how much money you made? how much satisfaction you got out of your job? were you happier for most of the year than you were sad? did you achieve your fitness goals? the car or house you bought?
It can be one or all of the above, everyone has different priorities and none of them are wrong. To me, it’s a little bit of everything.
Did I make friends? I don’t think I’ve ever networked as much as I have this year. I have made a tonne of new friends through the blogosphere and I have loved every opportunity this community has given me so looking through that perspective… yes, I had the most fantastic year to date.
Did I make heaps of money? Yes and no – let’s say it’s neutral lol but I’ve never classified success as making money.
Did I achieve my fitness goals? Yes! But I’m not going to pretend like I didn’t work hard for it.
Did you stay in a relationship? I did let somebody in my life that really rocked my world… in a good way, and in a very negative way. I hate to admit that I was with the wrong person for so long because at the time I would have rather been in an average relationship than be alone. The sadness of that relationship being over was hard to deal with but the growth in myself I had after was unparalleled. And the only way that I got out of that depressing, muddy hole was to climb my way out instead of staying down in the dumps waiting for the next average relationship to come along.
So instead of filling my broken heart with another average relationship (which was probably what led me to that one in the first place) I chose to be pro-active with making myself a whole person again. I reminded myself that happiness is a choice, and I chose to be a confident, entrepreneurial, adventurous girl I was and will continue to be. This lesson reminded me how important it is to have goals and the importance in seeing every shitty situation that comes your way as an opportunity to grow, learn and be better for it.
I hope you’re honest about how your year went too and go into the next one a strong, confident person with realistic goals, free of people holding you back and surrounding yourself with people who will lift you up. Corny but kinda srz. I love you and I wish you the best.

As a blogger you get approached to promote quite a few interesting things, some you like, some you ‘don’t mind’ and some you’re straight up ‘I really can’t see myself doing that… even though I want white teeth.’ That’s how I feel about at home teeth whiteners. It’s a known fact that whitening your teeth increases their sensitivity. I’m also the kind of person that if I smile towards the wind it gives my teeth a chill, chowing into chocolate hurts my chompers and don’t get me started on biting into ice cream… the thought alone hurts me from the inside out.
However, when the opportunity to whiten my regularly coffee stained teeth at Pitt Street Dental Centre using Philips Zoom Quickpro it became a real option. I raised my sensitive teeth concerns, and they gave me alternate options of which didn’t hurt one bit, but was just as effective.
I’ve attached some dodgy iphone pics that were unfiltered & unphotoshopped while at the dentist. The results are beyond me. Just sitting in the chair for about 20 minutes each visit has given my smile new life! I only had to visit the dentist twice and literally had no pain.
I learned that take-home whitening kits bought from dentists, specifically tailored to your needs will whiten your teeth over a period of time. However, the whitening kits you buy online or at supermarkets can cause alot of damage and are not effective! So don’t risk it and ruin your only set of teeth. Pitt Street Dental are experts in this field so you can trust them.
So if you, your family, your boyfriend or your hubby have been thinking about brightening your gnashers then give Pitt Street Dental Centre a call (02 9223 4767). You’ll also receive a special offer from them just by mentioning that you read this article! Pretty good deal if you ask me.
SPECIAL OFFER FOR FASHION AND SOUNDS READERS: Book Philips Zoom WhiteSpeed teeth whitening treatment (8 shades whiter) at a special price of $595 or Philips Zoom QuickPro booster treatment (4 shades whiter) at only $199 before 24th December and get a FULL dental examination including X-rays (bite-wing and x-rays, all valued at a bonus $155) PLUS a Dental Show Bag.

I do all of my own make up for all my shoots so now I’m a whiz and can do my face up in about 5 minutes (add on 5-10 minutes for lashes depending on how coordinated I am on the day). So I love sourcing new and easy to use make up like Musq. I love their products because they’re oil free and lightweight. The mineral bronzer is easy to build up with a shimmer and light enough to dust all over the face (nose, under the chin and forehead) just make sure you’re using the right brush. I use a kabuki brush for my cheeks and a powder or blush brush for the face.
On my lips I’ve used a very moisturising and bold lip colour from Stefan make up. I like the formula of this lipstick because it doesn’t need too many layers to build up and it stays on for a long time (WARNING: it comes off bright red and shimmery when you kiss someone haha)

New(ish) Kanye!! But I’m grateful he’s put track on spotify and a music video on youtube. I love this track because it takes me back to 808s & Heartbreak (a killer album you need to listen to if you haven’t). This track is written from the perspective of his late mother to him and dedicated to his daughter, Nori (of which has THE biggest swag of any toddler, ever). The video is directed by Her’s Spike Jones and is raw and real. I love the layers between his auto-tune and his actual vocals at about 2.00 with the fade back into the chorus. My god. I’m swooning.
If you listen to the lyrics of this song – you’ll immediate relate. If you’re a girl. Or a guy. Or a human whose fallen for someone who hasn’t quite reciprocated then yes the heart strings will be tugged like a Taylor Swift album right after a break up. But whatever, if you’re lucky enough to never be rejected then the bass, the falsetto and catchy clicks should have you shimmying your shoulders. Otherwise you are indeed, a robot.
World’s colliding!! My fave girl Taylor Swift with my other fave situation – sexy black guys with English accents and gorgeous deep raspy vocals. What a vibe. Not only is the situation a good thing but the arrangement is perfect from the brass to the electric drums and Labrinth kills it in every way.
Not an official video but this guy, Jarryd James, is fairly new on the Aussie scene and I have the feels he’s going somewhere.
I love going to the spa and getting pampered as much as the next girly girl but let’s face the reality of it… we don’t all have the time nor the means or money to get a fortnightly mani & pedi, make up done every time we have an event or a facial every few months so that’s why I love trying new at home products that are just as good as the spa. Especially when they’re natural and organic like this Detoxifying Facial Mask. I love how you can actually feel the clay detoxing your skin as it dries. Soo relaxing.
I came across this cute site called Pitchi. It’s a new platform for entrepreneurs to sell their unique items with a short film. This helps connect buyers to their sellers via a medium which isn’t explored enough yet in the way of e-commerce. What a new and exciting way to shop! Check out some of my faves below which I’ll be buying for my friends and family over Christmas.
Non-stick sand beach towel
Leather bound, refillable, hand made journal
Recycled, hand loomed Moroccan rugs
Hand made, unique designed bench
What a knock out show!! To be honest I wasn’t expecting too much as I was at the GP show a few nights before and didn’t think much of it. However, MarketHQ fashion show was a nice surprise.
The show was great – they started with suffocating the whole room with graffiti live art spray painting the backdrop of ‘MarketHQ’ on clear perspex. After this, they they opened the show with 5 of Australia’s top bloggers, Steph Kramer from Watermelon Crush, Rochelle Fox, Morgan Joanel, Chloe Ting and Emma from Spin Dizzy Fall. What an inspiration! I guess this whole blogger-catwalk thing started with Gary Pepper – so thanks, girl!
MarketHQ’s trends were strong, wearable, understandable and easy to digest as well as having their take on styling that some other retailers probably couldn’t pull off.
In the middle they had this little dance routine to Rob Thick’s Blurred Lines – I added the video I look with my iphone, let me know what you think – I loved it – Just what GP didn’t have… backflips.
Sorry about the dodgey pics but I just used my iphone. (All the good ones aren’t mine)
I was wearing Mini Palms Flare Dress I designed for 1&20 Blackbirds, Zara leather jacket & sunnies, Wittner leather booties and Atmos&here duffle bag.
