It’s official, it’s a thing… cargo pants are trending so get on board or get left behind! Androgyny isn’t a new thing for Fashion and Sounds. I like to teeter on boyfriend styling and feminine, but never frilly, too pretty. That’s just not me. So when the uber-comfy, wide leg cargo started popping up left, right and centre helloooo I jumped on that train because I think if you’re styling it with something tight and cropped up top then you’re not going to look like you’ve just walked out of a military base camp, but instead, a runway as it’s still in it’s early stages of phasing itself into the general community. If you pair it with a heeled boot or open toe stiletto then even better!
So go on – use the world as your runway and own this look. My boyfriend did not understand the cargo/ skater boy look whatsoever but then again… he’s left behind and so far off the train I can’t even hear his distaste anymore.
Everytime I post a blog about Triangl Bikinis I get a lot of readers because I think they want to know my opinion on the style. These ones are gorgeous – the blue is VERY brilliant and looks amazing on, if you’re not a super bright bikini wearer this is probably not for you, but if you are… you’ll love these!
The fit is always amazing, I’m wearing a medium in bottoms and small in the top. The cheeky cut bottom is soo much better (imo) than the full coverage but I guess it’s all dependant on your personal style! I’ve noticed they have now high cut bikini bottoms so I definitely need to get myself a pair of them because those styles/ cuts suit me better than straight across the hips styles like these… I have wide hips! Let me know if you want me to get a pair of those to review.
Ultimately, for the price of bikinis these days… $97 is worth it… I don’t see the fabric or quality of this bikini getting ruined anytime soon and there’s so much good support and it’s super flattering.
If you’re like me you woke up on Saturday morning to an influx of glitter, short shorts, maxi dresses, braids, denim, crochet and wanderlust over everybody at Palm Springs and Coachella. I was so inspired by the scenery I told Wes we should try shoot at this cactus location I found a few months back, I was half joking but Wes being Wes he was in the area and always keen as usual! What a legend!
So I put my very last minute “Coachella” outfit together and we somehow made it work. I even fooled people on instagram and tagged Palm Springs even though I made it pretty clear in my caption that I wasn’t at Coachella haha.
I did however spend over and hour last night watching Beyonce’s live stream performance on YouTube and I felt like I was there, in the comfort of my own home haha. LOVED IT! What an imaginative and original performance. She’s truely one of the best performers out there, if not the best.
Who wore your favourite outfit at Coachella? I want to do a round up of my favourite looks!
To celebrate this freak 30 degree weather this weekend in Sydney I’ve teamed up with Grace Jacob Swim to give you an epic 20% off your next purchase there with the code: JESSIE20. Here I am wearing the black gold palm set. What I love about this style is the fabric – it’s so soft that there is not chance you’re going to be getting muffin top! The bikini top has removable padding so you can adjust this to your preference, personally I take them out but you can always put them back in.
I’m wearing a size medium in the top and bottoms and they colour is more true to black than green like in these pics (that edit life! haha)
The belt bag, fanny pack, bum bag, whatever you may wanna call it is back, baby! But for how long? Who really knows, it’s like bitcoin… gonna be around forever but won’t always be in it’s peak… but I’d say it’s just about to hit it’s peak veeeryyyy soon with Coachella around the corner and numerous other festivals and hands free events coming up.
I’m going to admit that it’s not something my boyfriend has adapted to much but he also doesn’t like flares so I take his opinion with a grain of salt… and in this day and age we shouldn’t be dressing for boys, we should dress for ourselves and what makes us happy. And what makes me happiest. And what makes me happy is an awesome bag that fits my iphone and keys and if you’re going away for a weekend or something just take the weekender with you too!
Introducing to you the world’s comfiest mom jeans from A Brand. I’ve been in the A squad since 2015 and I’m trying my hardest not to be bias, the only other jeans I wear to death that resemble these are the Levi Wedgie Straight Jeans. Between these the Levi’s I can comfortably always have a perfect pair of washed black mom jeans on hand (if one is in the wash or something) the difference being the Levi’s jeans are slightly thinner in weight but not in a bad way and they are about 1 inch shorter than the A brand jeans and unhemmed.
Whichever one you decide on wearing I can guarantee you won’t regret your purchase! They will last a lifetime and the style’s proving it won’t be going out of fashion any time soon.
Sometimes you’ve just gotta run around chasing sunflowers and feeling cute in check pants and a pink jacket. If you haven’t noticed yet… checkered pants are all the rage! I went for a monotone kind of look with the blushes, whites and beige so the outfit wasn’t too ‘loud’ with anything too contrasty ie. if you were to wear a black boot and black jacket. If you want to look cute, yet subtle, but mainly cute try an outfit of all similar tones like this one. Makes wearing light coloured and printed pants more wearable.
Oh and these sunnies are from Sloane and I have a cheeky 40% discount for you the code is JESSIE40 – I’m loving their new slim line style.
Guyyyssss I’m back! I had a short blog hiatus for no other reason than I was a little bit slack and I’m sorry but I’ve just been enjoying this never ending summer in Sydney! Seriously it’s April and it’s 30 degrees… now I don’t want to abuse climate change but it’s kind of nice. I’m so torn.
In other news, because of this seasonal disarray I’ve managed to get some awesome swimwear content including these soft as velvet swimmers from Seafolly. Now, I’m not sure if their sizing is small or if I’m getting bigger (very likely) but I’m wearing a size 10 in the top and 12 in the bottoms.
These sunnies I’ve been wearing to death, they’re from Sloane and I have a cheeky 40% discount for you the code is JESSIE40 – their new range is legit!!! I think I’ll be buying a few myself.
So one of my favourite Aussie swimwear labels listened to you guys, they designed a range that is high cut, high rise and cheeky! Seafolly have created a super bright, on-trend range that channels the inner 80s in us. I’ve been wearing super cheeky cut bikini bottoms for a few summers now and I think that this range is a gorgeous gateway if you’re looking at moving into their cheeky cut bottom but don’t necessarily want to want a g-string cut just yet!
The high-rise side will make your legs look longer (something I definitely need standing at 165cm tall! and if you have a long torso like I do then the high waisted shape will be supr flattering as well. I chose red because I love the vibrancy but they have black if you’re more inclined.
I recommend to go up a size. I’m wearing a 12, I usually wear 10 in bikinis.
