There’s standard sexy beach pics and then there’s art. Art to me is creating something to evoke emotion out of someone, to inspire someone or to get a reaction. There’s so much content in the world right now, lazy photography of a girl (or guy) standing on the street, a juice in someone’s hand, a shot of shoes from above. Content just to fill the space. There isn’t enough photography or art that’s making people look twice or go ‘WOW, that actually made me feel an emotion’.
This series does that for me. I don’t know if it’s the mixed edits, the clear discomfort of having wet jeans on at the beach, being covered in sand when that’s the very last thing I want when at the beach, the perfectly unperfect wet hair or the cotton instead of typical nylon swimmers. It’s raw and it’s different. So if you’re creating content for your blog or even just your instagram I hope that you’re making something in hopes to inspire someone or to get a positive reaction, or even just to make someone’s day. This is a lesson for me also!

So I’ve never posted other people’s work, that’s kind of what my tumblr is for but I couldn’t stop looking at this campaign over and over. I’m obsessed. The sleek silkiness of the pink hair against the soft and iridescent blue water over the the effortlessly styled mermaid inspired sequins, wide-gage fishnet and lace. Wowzers. Incredibly creative and really capturing fashion in a whole new light, pushing the boundaries, so much respect.
