I did a little 3 day staycation at the gorgeous boutique Primus Hotel right in the heart of the city… and it was gorgeous! Greeted with valet parking and a luxury suite which feels like the size of a small apartment, it was warm, inviting and definitely living in luxury.
These outfit photos were taken on the sun soaked rooftop which I can’t wait to come back and visit in summer because they’ll have a fully decked out bar and an amazing pool to laze about in.
Waking up to a breakfast buffet was definitely a treat as well as coming back at 5pm for a cheeky cocktail and charcuterie board in their open, spacious ground level bar. This is definitely a gorgeous place to stay if you’re looking at being right in the heart of the city!
I always get DMs and comments asking about the best places to shop in Sydney usually from people who are visiting or who have recently moved here – one of my personal favourite places to kit out a new wardrobe is Glue Store. Their range of awesome sports brands from Adidas Originals and Nike Sportswear next to international brands like Calvin Klein mixed with their Aussie labels like Mink Pink and A Brand are great to browse through and find a super affordable outfit which is great for uni, work or going out.
I’m usually a very casual dresser so I’m all about the denims and tees so this is my go-to shop for when I want a cool printed logo, stripe tee or jumper to go back with my denims. Also I love their sneakers and watch collection!!
Their biggest store is the one in Central and I recommend that one if you want the best range.
What you need to look for in a denim mini this season is a high waisted a-line with a raw edge like this one I picked up from Glassons. The raw edge gives the mini a less structured, more relaxed feel and the a-line shape (not bodycon) will also add to the casual look, not dig into your thighs and I personally find it more flattering on the body, just make sure you find the right length for you. I like short mini skirts because my legs are actually really short (for my body) but someone with long legs needs a longer length mini which doesn’t flare out as much otherwise it can start to look really chunky.
I’ve paired it back with this white off-the-shoulder blouse and strappy heels for a casual going out look as showing off your shoulders is still a sexy lil thing we should all do once in a while hehe.
I got to spend the day with three of my favourite girls, Helen, Ash and Kiara for Glassons… we went on a fun road trip up to Palm Beach and got to cruise with this amazing vintage 1950s Chevvy! I had such an amazing time and I never take for granted that I get to do the things I love with the best girls around me!
In this look I’m wearing my fave Glassons denim shorts, a lace racer back bralette and layered over it I’ve got this awesome oversized mesh top. Mesh tees are the biggest things right now, they’re perfect for summer because you can layer over bikinis, bralettes as well as singlet tops and it looks different every time. I have it tied up but it also looks great tucked in or undone just hanging over a pair of mom or skinny jeans and sneakers for a more tom boy look.
So get yourself into Glassons because they have literally every style of clothing you need and you can get a whole outfit for under $100!
Last week I got the opportunity to go to Bali with 4 other amazing bloggers and the A Brand team. The experience was incredible, the weather was perfect and the girls made the whole trip the best weekend getaway ever.
From in-house massages, warm oceans, endless tacos and margaritas I think Bali is a stunning location to travel to if you’re not looking to fork out heaps of cash and experience the beautiful Indonesian culture. I undoubtedly will be heading back to this destination to see more of the landscapes and to try more of the delicious food!
Summer’s really not that easy to dress for, let alone high summer (the peak of summer as they call it in the fashion world) because more often than not I’d rather be wearing less if anything at all. How I go about this is going for 100% cotton and natural fabrics such as this white shirt from Target, I love the split detail in the back, making it a little different from all of my other white shirts. (Just a tip I got this shirt from the Dannii Minogue petites collection and bought a size 12 because I’m not petite and I like shirts oversized) I’ve put it back with my fave pair of denim shorts from One Teaspoon because I find the Hawks are the most flattering for my body type.
Hope you’re all well and having a good start to the holiday season!!
I came across this cute site called Pitchi. It’s a new platform for entrepreneurs to sell their unique items with a short film. This helps connect buyers to their sellers via a medium which isn’t explored enough yet in the way of e-commerce. What a new and exciting way to shop! Check out some of my faves below which I’ll be buying for my friends and family over Christmas.
