This chic look has come together with a play with proportions. I love the long length of the cape and skirt and the short, cropped bustier. I wear my crops with high waisted skirts because I don’t really like the proportions of short top and hipster jeans or pants, it’s a little off to me unless you’ve got a killer bod. But even then it’s less fashion more “Hey, I’ve got a great bod”.

Going into winter one thing that sucks is putting together a look you love but then putting a huge, double breasted coat over it and covering the whole look. One thing you can do is work backwards – chose a coat you love and then incorporate what will work with that. Or else, in this case wear a slightly more open coat at the front to show what you’re wearing underneath. This cape will keep you warm and you can still wear sleeves or a knit underneath and it looks awesome.
